Founder & CEO

Stephanie Li is an award-winning communications and strategy leader with a global record of advising executives, public figures and influential brands across North America and Asia. As the Founder and CEO of Spotlight West Communications, she guides organizations through brand positioning, cross cultural communications and market expansion, helping clients strengthen their reputation and connect meaningfully with diverse audiences.

With more than fifteen years of experience in the private, public and non-profit sectors, Stephanie is known for her ability to navigate complex environments with clarity and cultural fluency. Her work spans global campaigns, executive communications, government and community engagement and strategic initiatives that support long term growth.

Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Arts from UBC, completed the General Management program at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business and earned her Masters in Management at Harvard University. 

Her work and leadership have been recognized with numerous honours and nominations, including the Harvard University’s Emerging Leader Award, Inspiring Canadians Woman Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Association of Chinese Canadian Entrepreneurs’ Best Community Service Award, and the B.C. Government Ministry of Attorney General’s Multiculturalism and Anti-Racism Award.

An active community leader, Stephanie serves on the boards of S.U.C.C.E.S.S., Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, Chimo Community Services, and Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO). She is also a founding partner and advisor to The Eyeglasses Project, a non-profit providing free vision care to underserved communities in Vancouver.

Outside of her professional and community roles, Stephanie channels her creativity into writing commercial film scripts, pursues her interest in history through mudlarking along the Thames in London and enjoys discovering new culinary experiences during her travels.
