Brunch Affair
Prior to both events in 2017 and 2018, the organizers for Brunch Affair Food Festival approached Spotlight West to provide media relations and to consult on best practices with influencers, social media, and other promotional and marketing initiatives. The family-friendly food showcased some of Vancouver’s best restaurants, chefs, and food vendors, emphasizing their brunch and breakfast offerings.

Our goal was to amplify the message and improve the overall awareness through the media and influencers, ultimately generating ticket sales and food and beverage purchases for the event.

By identifying key local outlets with both English and Chinese outlets, and developing pitches tailored towards these different audiences, we:
Prepared press releases for media outreach;
Liased live radio hit at the event with local station;
Successfully secured coverage in major outlets including Vancouver Sun, The Georgia Straight, News 1130, 604 Now, DailyHive, DealMoon Canada, FanDine, It’s To Die For, Lahoo, Narcity Canada, and So Van So Hot;
Coordinated visits by key Chinese food influencers and videographers;
Resulted in a combined impression of 1,150,000.
